Sevy competed in SUMO for 5 years in a row from 2009 to 2014. The robot above was the winning robot from 2013. It used an anti-ramp design where robots with ramps would get caught in the front and rear aluminum U-channel. This along with its four wheel drive allowed it to push competition easily out of the ring. It also had rounded aluminum sides to make it easy for the SUMO bot to roll away from other robots pushing from the side.
This SUMO bot used a super low ramp design. Sevy designed the ramp to be as low as possible by using sheet metal. He placed third in this SUMO competition!
